Thanx ritchie, I'll keep in touch on a particular set-up for FW. I also got that list ready for you too
Great to hear that the SDW will be here soon

Go with lightweight parts such as input shaft, universals, etc... ]

JAYBEE.

Matt and Daniz have alreadybeaten me to it. Go for the lightweight stuff for if the CGM has a down side it is it's weight in standard form.

Lightweightinput shafts. Lightweight centre shaft. Lightweight drive shafts and lightweight screws. That's all you need.

I have got mine down to 1530 grams. That's including transponder, so it can certainly be done.

Thanks everyone for your input and for making this one of the best and friendliest threads.

Happy New Year to all.

God I can't be the only one that had to add weight, surely someone else runs it in 540 stock?

I thought I fixed my battery when it took a full charge but I tried to use it today and after a minute or so of running it made a fairly loud 'pop' sound. I thought it was a stone the first time but when it happened twice more I pulled into the pits quickly and checked the battery. It looked fine after checking it thoroughly and the cells were not very hot at all. What could be causing this?

more than likely it's a cell venting, very bad thing and you more than likely have a bad cell in that pack. I would email the matcher you got it from and tell them the problems you've been having, most matchers will replace the pack for you.

I just got some Rayspeed towers to use in my CGM.
Has anyone tried using this? Any response will be of help.

Lem
I usually run the RS towers on my CGM and they work fine, they're a bit lighter than the stock towers and give you more adjustments.

Thanks MAT!! Do you also use the rear tower in front or just the rayspeed front tower? Because I noticed that the turnbuckles in the front are angled higher on the tower side, wherein it should be parallel? Is that okay?

Like Matt I have always used Rayspeed towers on my CGM.

I run rear towers both front and rear and actually on the same settings front and rear too. Top link on inner lower hole. Shock on 3rd hole from the outside. Perfect !!!!!!!!!
