Not that I know of, you just need to grind down the hex hub to stop the binding. If RS is going to have MIP fix them then it won't be anything that happens in the next month or so.

Haven't got them yet. They really don't want us talking about them until the testing is done either.

Well I can answer the second part at least....

I started off with a 7 inch servo lead and cut it down to 1.5 inch with no problems.

http://rctech.net/forum/attachment.php?postid=1131758

The end result ^^^^ nice and tidy.

done both, i dont think there is any problems yet.
1) is not really difficult. Most ESC come with the instruction manuals that detail the changing of Z-connectors. Follow them.
2) Mine is shortened by several inches.

Sorry Mab540, I had you tied to lee, lee mentions ESC. So that orange-colored? wire coming off your servo is only 1.5" huh? No problems with it... cool. So how difficult was it to deal with those tiny wires to create a new servo plug?

Didn't need to dude, I just opened up the servo case unsoldered the lead from the circuit board then cut it to length from that end and soldered it back on.
