Hi Guys. Greetings from Malta.

SOSIDGE. Well done. Welcome to the clan.

Son Josh and I, together with 4 or 5 other Malta racers will be invading your country in August.

We are booked to do the KO GP at West London and the Snetterton round of the Nationals the following weekend.

I still haven't got my SD. Hopefully some time next week, with a bit of luck.

Regards

Joe from sunny Malta.

Well, got the SD all bodied up and ret to go this weekend. Wont be working it too hard, not tell I have spares anyway. Probably 19turn is as low as I'll go.

Take a look at the body, all done up in SSG colors and decals......think anyone will have to ask what I'm running! hehehe

birdy: yours is sweet. What body is that? Looks like a Parma.

I'm not all that happy with this Protoform Nissan Altima. The front is nice, but my god, the rear end of the body is horrid! Get this....I mounted up an old Trinity Stratus first and left like three holes above where that body sits on the mounts, you know just to be sure it would fit the new Altima body I was waiting for the lhs to bring in. And even with the three holes above where a Stratus would be mounted, the post in the rear were just, JUST, barely long enough to reach up to the high point where you have to put the holes in the Altima body!

And the rear end of the body sits so low that its like a frickin' wind brake or something! This body definitely won't make my favorite body list!

Birdy: Yeah, I can tell!

I have a 'crack' paint sceme that I've been doing lately for my KX-1 and ReflexNT that uses blue, white, and black. But for the SD and its Silver-Surface-Graphite, I figured that a sceme with silver in it was called for!

Anyway....enough of our body talk before the other tell us to leave!

rob_b: Later today will be my first time running it. My problems with it are mainly cosmetic.(except for the high mounting location for the rear body post) I'm all for good handling bodies and all, but I'm not going to win any National Championships anytime soon anyway, so for me the body must also look good!

Will it be as stable as my favorite body? (Stratus 2.0) Will it have the insane, push inducing, rear traction of the Opel Astra? Will it have the great steering of the Losi Alfa? Or will it have the nice balance of all of those that the Opel Vectra body has? I don't know, but with the rear end on that thing, it sure as heck doesn't look as good as any of those!

Seriously though, I'm sure it will be just fine, but I will let you know how it does.

I built a spool with the losi spool pads today but unfortunatly it rained. It seemed to work pretty good on the street in front of my house though I'll try it at the track tomorrow if it doesn't rain again

Well ran the both my SD's today in stock class. One with "sportsman"mode Novak BL and a diff. And the other with a Monster Stock and oneway. Both posted similar lap times with the fastest lap on the BL at 19.2 and a 19.1 with the Monster. Gearing on the Monster stock was 102/35 or 6.8 final ratio. Wouldn't mind tryin it with 7 flat. The BL was geared at 6.5 final. Of course these had different setups. But it proved that the times can be made the same with gearing.

I ran that one setup that came with the USA version. Not the standard diff setup, but that one guys setup with the diff and 19t. That's what I was basically using in the BL setup except with 55wt oil all around and pink springs up front.

The Monster Stock setup was also the same except I ran Pink up springs up front with sway bar and oneway. I'll be working with this more tomorrow. But it ran pretty good over all.

Well now I have a dedicated Race car and a Test and Tune car. That Novak Brushless makes things sooo much more easier! I can test and tune for both Mode and Stock with a press of a button!

Anyhow, goin to bed. Just got back from X2. Pretty good movie. Especially like Night Crawler! Now just gotta wait for Matrix Reloaded!! Catch yall L8Rz!
