I've been having issues with the Reedy as have a few others.... Mine; freshly cut, new 767's, purple/red, just died, no apparent reason.... Was running 27mm rollout.... Switched over to the Chameleon and the car was much faster... This was only the second day running the motor.... Windings look real sloppy, I'm wondering here....

I'm still working on my 19 turn setup.... I need a little more low speed steering since we have a 180 that requires almost a full stop to make it....

Love what you have in your sig... I'm not good with figuring out roll out so I don't know if you're in the ball park or not. Hopefully someone else comes along with an answer for you.

Last year I was using spec 17T motors (with bushings), we had a national on a track designed for large scale cars (could scarcely see the car at the end of the straight), we geared the motors to as low as 4.5... But indoors I like to have a lot of rip, so I keep it geared down.

Hmmmm.... I don't get it.....

I just ran the Chamelion on my CS.... The Reedy made 24 watts more even though it peaked 8,000 RPM less.... But the Chamelion was faster (yes I adjusted gearing to compensate....) The reedy made more torqu up untill 20k RPM then the Trinity made much more..... On an equalized chart the Trinity pulled much less amps... That couldn't be the reason.... Hmmmmmm.....

Things on the Dyno aren't always as they seem though....

That's probably why the Reedy likes to be geared up : keep it low in rpm to use the extra torque and power...
