I believe that was a "Product D" part and not a Yokomo part.

I'm gonna have to try those, but then again I'll just keep them as spares being that I've been fortunate in not breaking any parts.
Thanx pops...

The lightened chassis is only around 7-10 g's lighter and is mostly lightened on the electronics side which is too light in the original shape. So i did'nt get it.. Ti screws is definetly the greatest weight reducer.
If i don't remember wrong my stock CGM weighed around 1550-1560 depending on what inserts i used in tyres..
How much do u recon the ti screws reduced weight by

Don't know, when I sent the pic that was posted on here to yokomo usa asking when it was going to be released, it was the first time they saw it as well. It will probably still be a little while before it's released.

Almost any good hobby shop or track should sell either sets of 2 or by each. I got some a couple of months back from Speedworld Raceway and Hobbies. Just measure the length of the broken one and order up a new one.

I can't really see any difference, a final drive ratio is the final drive ratio? Some would say you can see a difference when you get to that final drive ratio with a larger or smaller spur gear / pinion gear combination. ie faster acceleration. But just changing the internal drive ratio, I don't know seems it wouldn't make much of a difference. I could be wrong though.

Pops - you're right. Final ratio is final ratio, makes no difference how you get there. Having a 2.5 internal ratio will just make the gearing more similare to a TC3. In other words you just end up using bigger pinions/smaller spurs to end up with the same gearing that you had before

Why would anyone want too?

This subject popped up before when someone made some ridiculous and un-substantiated claims about some gears he was selling. When roasted on the subject, he disappeared and took his lousy gears with him!!

Mystery solved!

The thing with that gear ratio change is only the bevel gears are new, it uses the same diff gear. That means the teeth on them aren't going to match up perfectly resulting in a very long break in time. If I remember correctly Mo used them when he ran for yokomo and he liked them, it just took a long time to break in.

Matt,

Few questions hope you can help.

What is the handling differences between the upper hinge pin hole and lower pin hole on the C-hub?

Under what condition shall I use the most outer holes provided for the CGM shock tower for shock positioning? For more steering?

Knuckle position. Upper or lower. I notice Masami setup sheet used upper position most of the time but the manual used the lower position.

Thanks.
