Good run today. Too bad your team mate took me out when I was just cruising waiting for the leaders to make a mistake.....LOL Next weekend should be pretty fun once everyone comes out that didn't race today because of that Norcal series.

I thought you might win it when you were in 2nd for a minute. We changed a couple of things for the main, but the car got a little loose. Can't be sure if it was the tires or the change. Will find out next week.

Are you guys having problems with your quantum running hot? See you next weekend. The car looked dialed up until that wierd crash. Did things go wrong after that or did the set up change come after the car was repaired?

A UJ only has the same output speed when the shaft is straight. As soon as there is an angle in the joint - whether it be up down left or right, or any combination, the output (axle/hub) velocity doesn't match the input (dogbone) velocity. Due to the design, the output lurches faster and slower - the more of an angle, the more it lurches.

The MIP design offers constant output velocity through a useful useable range of motion. Now their 'style' of model car driveshaft has become the new standard on competition oriented kits as many other manufacturers produce 'CVDs'. Mugen, Kyosho, HPI, Yokomo, Associated, Losi etc all do them.
It is better than the UJ, but it's still not TRUE CVD.

Mo's regular quantum went up this weekend too. He put that in while he is waiting for the quantum 2 to get repaired. I'm putting the Keyence back in and calling it a day.

Our Quantum 2 is fine, no problems yet. It does feel a little warm, but I am running a fan on the motor. I think the fan is drawing a little air accross the top of the Speed Control for some cooling effect. It does feel a little warm after a run. Think I might get the heat sink for it anyway.

thanks again for the motor advice. I'm looking forward to next week. I gotta glue up some more 36's and swap out my electrics again.

Maiden race of the CGM was great! But it was more of a practice run for me! I did not know that it was a 23turn Stock Race, my Monster was no match with their motors!

Overall, the CGM is a very driveable car, and it is a perfect match with a mazda6 body!

Peace and Hapy Racing!

look at the track

Anyone know where to find the suzuki aluminum front spindles for the ssg? I'm having a hard time finding them and broke another 3 of the plastic ones today.

Thanks,

Chris

Sheldons Hobbies in San Jose CA has some in stock. I know they do mail order but it's not in there catalog but they do have them in stock in the store. So you might want to give them a try. 1-800-822-1688
