Default wide bumper

Hi,

Got the wide bumper already. come with a plastic bumper piece and a larger foam bumper.

The trouble is... it is too big for some body shell. I can't install
it with Ride Stratus body. For Mazda 6, the plastic bumper piece
fit just at the front lower spoiler. The foam bumper is too big.

I suspect that it only works with the body shell is flat on the
front.

I suspect they made it oversized so people can cut it to fit their body perfectly. The only problem you might run into is if you run a couple different bodies, then you might end up with alittle play in one of them. Still, it's alot better than the old mini bumper that came with the kit.

Here is the RPM Bumper modiication
1. Trim the 2 outer holes in the area that will touch the body mount pos, do it slowly.

dont worry about the RPM bumper being a little loose, once you sandwich it with the foam bumper it will not move, and the body mount posts and the mounting post for the upper bumper brace will prevent it from moving even in hard, head on hits.

last one

notice the Body mount post and the mounting post for the upper bumper brace will prevent it moving side to side and front to back!

Trimming the area where the bumper might touch the front hinge pin holder is also a good idea.

This is great news - a direct fit, more protection and therefore less downtime.

They don't make graphite parts for the bumper, the graphite battery brace comes with the CGM.

The SSG bumper brace was from the old MR4-TC SSG Special I believe.
