Matt,

Hmm, conversion...or batteries....conversion...batteries. Aah, the quintessential dilemma!

Matt - I'm planning on just getting the conversion kit. I also translated Yokomo Japan's new products page again, and saw that they're coming out with a titanium screw kit just for the CGM.

look a couple of pages back, most of us said it's not worth it, you can get a pack for the price which is a better deal...

How dare you switch the chat back to the SD!

I'll propably be building up a new car. In fact, I may sell my Rayspeed car.

Soliciting eh?

Why spend the money on that when we can just buy a new pinion gear, and not risk stripping the 1 way and diff gears?

I believe the biggest concern was the price, and the possibility that the aluminum gears may chew up the plastic diff ring gears. All of the shaft drive cars I know of (TC3, Barracuda, SD, Pro 4, etc etc) use all plastic gears, so that must be the system that works best. I would like to hear from someone who has tried the Product D gears, maybe I'm totally wrong

The Ti screw set for the CGM car will probably just be missing the couple of screws that would of been used to mount the top deck. The price should drop a couple bucks on it as well.

Makes me wonder, people with tub TC3s get double deck carbon fiber chassis (e.g. BMI, Warpspeed, etc.) and people with SDs are waiting for the tub?

Default MIP CVDs

Rear MIP CVDs is a perfect fit. For people wondering about this, I just installed one on a new car I am building. Part # is 1339 for the Alu. It comes in cool gunmetal color too.

P.S.
Thx rc-z.

I thought the same... but I think the TC3 guys are going backwards... you dont see their team drivers using the double deck.
