Well you either go to your LHS or you mailorder them yourself. Either way you'll have to wait if they aren't in stock locally.

You can grab some spare parts for your SD at the same time so it doesnt feel like you're just mailordering spurs

CGMs coming at the beginning of the month eh? That's what I have been waiting for. As far as LHS support where I live, if you don't have HPI, Traxxas, Losi, AE you are out of luck. So I don't take much stock in that. I have one decent hobby shop in town and they are spendy, so I figured already if I get the CGM I'll have to order parts. Right now even the HPI car I would have to order parts for also. The only other option (as far as my interests go) would be the XXX-S GP when it comes to LHS support.
Johnbull, as far as others around me racing the car, I would be the only one with the Yok car out there.
Currently I'm trying to get another hobbyshop/raceway going. Partly because of the lack of selection/pricing the LHS has. It's difficult to really get what you want if it isn't the extremely mainstream popular stuff. I plan on changing that. I'm also a llittle nervous about it. I'm afraid that the interest may not be what it should be because of the previously stated issue. Just doing some number crunching now. Besides we need a more permanent On and Off Road race track here. Right now the only racing here is done by a relatively small club that needs direction badly..

You forgot : going to the airport, depending on where about you live it could take 5 hours, then go at least 1hr before for registration boarding etc.., then the flight, then the customs, the police, gettithe luggage, renting a car, finding your way, getting lost, asking your direction (hopefully the dude, or lad, was kind enough to give you the proper way), then find the shop, unfortunately it's too late the shop is closed, and as it's saturday you'll have to take a motel room and wait until monday (you can visit the city in the meantime). On monday you come at 7 AM to make sure you don't arrive too late, then wait 'till it opens, get your stuff, go back to the airport, pay the car (2 days more than expected), change your ticket, fly back, and go back home.

You spent the whole weekend, a lot of money and for what ? To buy a spur gear, the most expensive spur gear ever (must be made out of Diamond)...

No let me tell you : keep on buying them online, it's not worth it...

Default Atheena project

Is anyone running this lower and upper deck? I was wondering if anyone had any comments on them as far as carpet racing goes.

Sorry to change the subject BACK to the SD but that CGM car should be pretty good, eh? Are the majority of the people here going for the whole kit or just the conversion? I'll try to find out exactly what comes in the conversion next week but it's obviously coming with the new chassis, motor mount, and steering assembly.
