I think in the case of SD, graphite parts are stronger than the normal ones, it could explain why Yokomo took so much time to release them.
Big crashes and no breakages? Perhaps there are just bad batches of arms etc so certain areas are plauged with durability issues whilst others enjoy trouble free 'motoring'.

Regarding the 'stronger arms', this would certainly explain why Yokomo took their time releasing them!! Maybe they had lots of dodgey arms to inflict on the UK racers first

Rayspeed!

I dont have the time to build a entire Ryaspeed SD so the towers is everything that sits on it now.. When i get some Ti screws and Performance Bearings i should start building the Rayspeed

BTW. How should the car be tweaked? on my Integy Laser Tweak Board i tweak the car between -5 and 0.. The laser is perfectly centered which it was'nt when it came.. Some modding and it's PERFECT
If i tweak the car straight it torqs to the left but with about -0,25 it tracks perfectly straight even on slick plastic floor..
Looks like that is the way to go

I'm wondering what a good rollout for the SD with a P2K2 on a real tight track... Curious if I'm running in the same ballpark... Due to my work schedule, I'm not getting enough track time with the car... Next year will be all about the car since I'm retiring...

Team Yokomo intends to run with CGM chassis for races after it's available.

then, I wonder how the SSG, Black, Rayspeed chassis are going ??

Vtl1180,

what surface are you running on and what tires will you be using? I have been running a 31 pinion and 94 spur on rubber tires with my p2k2's, i think a 33 pinion with a monster stock.

Interesting....... I heard earlier that Masami's dad thought the chassis wouldn't be for serious racing. This was probably when they were making the plastic prototypes, though, not the graphite. A plastic tub might not have worked well, but graphite should be race-approved.

As to the SSG, Black, and Rayspeed chassis's, mine might be going on eBay or the For Sale thread

I run my SD in stock rubber and 19T foam.

For stock i run a 23 -24 tooth on my p2k2 with 70 spur. Our track is 80x36 and can be really tight when we dont build a track using a 80ft straight.

basically i have been running high 6's and low 7's in the final gear ratio.

I dont really understand what you mean here...? Are u saying the laser tweak is off or your car...?

I have no problems of overheating at all, the tyres just need 1 lap to be fast but then they're consistant.

I have the same tyres/inserts/wheel setup as the top drivers so I just need a slightly better setup.
