I've been doing this just a little while. I've also set the camber by eye, then checked it on my Hudy and it was dead on...

Was speaking to a local Japanese racer at my local track about the tweak issues with the SD. He told me that he believes cars like the SD, TC3 all had tweak in mind when being developed (batteries on one side) and that I shouldn't worry too much about it.

I don't 100% understand him so I'm still going to adjust the tweak with the MIP.

The CGM kit comes out here in Japan on the 18th of December. There is a Yokomo Cup coming this weekend and I'm tossing weather or not I should get the CGM and run it this weekend.

Cool thing about this race is that I pay Y3000. I get to race for 2 days, they also give me a AMB transponder to keep, 2 sets of Yokomo tires (Control) and a 23T motor.

What is the price on the CGM conversion going to be?

Default Spring Issue

I know this probably was covered in the 172 pages before this but I do not have the patience to go through everyone. I just purchased the SD and was wondering why everyone is telling me i need to put Associated springs on it. I would really like to use the Yokomo springs because the guy I purchased it from has a complete set. I would hate to have to run out and buy another set of springs. I would like ot know why people put the Associated springs on the Yokomo and a good set-up for the Yokomo springs it anyone has one. Thanks guys

Not bad at all, that's the route I'm going to go, not going to buy the whole new car...

Probably because it is easier to find Associated springs at all hobby shops than the Yoke springs.

if you have the yok springs that should pretty much cover all
the spring rates. if you run carpet your gonna have to run the
nitro springs which is a lot harder.

I'm going to order every spring rate from soft to hard in the Yokomo line, so I should be pretty well set...
