You be at SloCal Tuesday?
Yeah good times good times. That's why you have to stay away from drinking this during a race day.

Woops.

I'll be up at Socal on Tuesday to meet up with Frank but I won't be running. I'm still working on the blue car and will be busy this week with other stuff. Plus there are Christmas parties to be had so it doesn't look like I'll have much time to get it running and sorted out any time soon

Has anyone had problems with breaking the diff screw? I've just purchased a Black Special and while talking to a couple of other Yok owners they mentioned breaking multiple diff screws. Is there a problem with these screws or is there a problem with the diff that causes the screw to break? Or something else?

The diff screw only breaks when you tighten it down to make a spool.

I broke one last weekend. But that was on carpet. I don't think that it has anything to do with the diff. I just think that the diff bolt might be a little on the weak side. But that is the only one that i have ever broke and I have had the car about 10 months. I wouldn't worry about it. And I was running a regular diff not a spool.

Make sure you have planty of grease all around the thrust assembly and diff screw, I've always kept it well lubed and never had a problem (I know lots of people who have complained about the diff screw).

My mate broke a diff screw two weeks ago , but it was the first one we broke. I think it's because he tried putting Tamiya Anti Wear grease instead of the black grease and this put too much torsional stress on the screw.

I dont even go that tight, just tight enough to where the diff wont slip...

You gonna be at SoCal tomorrow?

Here is my carpet setup I ran this past weekend. I think it's a good starting point for Stock Class. I'd like to try Chris's setup sometime if I run some Mod.

Chris, I heard you ran the Chevron Body at Cleveland. How did you like it?

Anyways.. let me post my Stock Carpet setup.
