you rebel. i'll let you touch mine when it gets..........er.......wrong site sorry. i think it's going to be a great car. i'm concerned about the rigidity of the chassis when it comes to foams, but we'll see.

The chemical reaction I believe is called galvanic reaction. It's on like metal as Matt Howard said. Aluminum screws to an aluminum piece will eventually "cold weld" themselves together into one piece.

Ray, galling is what happens when you machine titanium. Galling will happen when the surface is rubbed so those that like titanium hingepins and ball ends this is something to think about.....

I think that from what Ive seen of the chassis being 3 decks it will be stiff but how stiff I dont know.....but you can always have the lower deck cut out of some "true" carbon fiber and it wont move. But it looks very promising so far.........and I cant wait to see one and or even own one.

i thought it was galvanic reaction, but i wasnt too sure. thanx sydewynder. I didnt know aluminum on aluminum will eventually cold weld themselves either. I'm rebuilding my mint 414 and was thinking of replacing most if not all the hardware with aftermarket pieces. my main concern is the hardware that secures the bulkhead to the chassis. the car is gonna be a shelf queen so i dont want the headache of finding fasteners "welded" into the bulkhead a few years down the line. would stainless steel hardware be a better choice in this situation? i'm pretty sure the stock pieces are regular steel hardware.

sorry for the off topic, but its been bugging me for a while.

steve: i received my confirmation email. however, i will be changing my ISP service and discontinuing my aol account. could you update my email. the old email was [email protected]; the new email is [email protected]. credit card info and address remains the same. sorry for the inconvenience.
