Randman: I think I'm going to wait for the Yokomo tub chassis. I would like to see pictures of the prototype chassis when you complete it though, and I'm sure many others would be interested in seeing it too. Who knows, you might be able to sell a lot of them after you post the pictures. The Rayspeed chassis is flexible on purpose, as far as I know, because it is designed for the asphalt tracks in Japan (and rubber tires).

I understand that some will want to go with the tub chassis, but I think that we can have a chassis that is even more ridgid, and tweak proof with this material. A lot of people have PM'ed me and requested that it have lowered bulkheads, but there is really no need for that. The material will be between 2-2.5mm thick because of how high grade it is (it's costing me $160 for the material that I can get possibly 3 chassis' out of)

Now, there is one more thing that I can propably have done, the stock look of the graphite is just black. He has used a color change glitter in the material in the past, and I'm sure he could do it for me as well. I've thought of maybe getting blue glitter to match the anodizing on most SD's though.

BTW, notice that every avalible aftermarket chassis for the TC3 is made of flat CF now, and everyone seems to like them more than stock.

2-2.5mm chassis...that's almost the same as the Pro4..

Yeah, but quite a big higher grade than what the Pro 4 is using.

please don't make the graphite blue
it looks kinda lame as those on the new trinity 1/12
the natural blur-ish graphite looks is the best~

I believe the stock chassis is 2.5mm

For testing, I'm copying the RS chassis, but I am going to have a few different copies made with different battery positions.

Actually I think the stock chassis is 3.0 mm. Anyways, if your chassis is thinner and stiffer, that would be awesome. It should be lightweight.

Did anyones else rayspeed chassis have alot of leftover graphite dusta nd shavings in all the cutouts?Just wondering as I just got mine.Looks nice but for 150.00 you would think theywould come clean.

mine was fine, I sanded all the edges anyway like I do with all graphite parts though. Graphite splinters are the worst

Yeah, mine had that problem, very easy to clean up though.

Not mine. But then again it didn't matter because I sanded my edges anyways. Not to mention battery slots.
