BTW, does anyone have info on the low cg chassis (I forget the brand name)
I don't think there is a low CG chassis. However, there is that CGM SD (Carbon Graphite Material?).

Most excellent... can you get the rates for the GT-4 as well?

Thanks,

Steve:
I was looking at your guide to the AE springs. Thanks for posting the guide by the way. According to Associated the yellow spring is 35 pounds, and on your measurements its around 31 pounds. Do you know why?

Steve:

What type of instrument is Mr.Tong using to get his results, is it something that the average person can purchase for a minimal amount of money?

Spring rates seem to be al over the place in comparison to what the packages say.

18,000 sq. ft facility! It must be nice to have a track like that to run your SD and other cars.

It is nice, especially in the summer when it's 107. It's nice to have year round racing in air conditioned and heated comfort

I have a link in my signature, you check out the website.

hmm... I know the chassis was made for the Evo 3, and I thought it was made for the SD as well. It is a 3mm platform and the space for the bulkheads and motor mount are milled down to lower the CG. I'll see if I can find it in the Evo thread...

Hi Eric,

I'll find out, but Mr. Tong works at an Engineering firm with in house equipments such as engineering grade spring dynos. He himself was shocked with the spring rates reading that he got, and you're right, they are kinda off, and also, it varies within the same color coded shock springs as well (so not all red, or yellow springs are the same)

An Integy motor/shock spring dyno I believe can give you decent readings on the shock springs. A couple of customer of mine have pick those up. I have the motor spring dyno myself and it is amazing how much motor springs varies.
