Hi,
Me and my mate are about to order a SD Black from Speedtech, mainly as we cant get them here in the UK. I was wondering if anybody had some build tips especially for the transmission, how to get it nice a loose and working properly, also running in tips etc.? Any hop ups that we should buy asap?

cheers

Steve Wang
If you made an R2 style open gear box, you'd sell the sh*t out of them.

i ran the square gearboxes on my EVO 3 when i was running for tamiya, and the increase in weight was minimal compared to the in creased acuracy in the alignment of the gearbox components and the stiffness that it added to the chassis.

Sleighty:
Assemble the steering so that the servo saver is on the left hand side and mount the servo turned so its shaft is pointing forward. You'll gain at least 10mm of more room for the receiver and the esc. Also the drivetrain might need some running in.

Thanks STEVE!

A single complete charge comparing all yokomo/rayspeed and AE springs will be a much welcome download and print for me.

One form of measurement for all springs will make my life easier for sure.

Steve Wang, I dare you to have aluminium tranny halves made for the SD! Man, that would look sweet on a RaySpeed Chassis!! You'd be the only one out there with them!! And if it did stiffin up the chassis, there wouldn't be a need for a tub!! Okay, I want them by December!!!!

speedtechrc- I was thinking like the Square ones like for the Evo 3, I personally think alot of the flex and tweek problems people sometimes have is from the flexing in that area. Plus they would look awsome on the car.

All you guys asking for aluminum diff cases..etc... to make life simple.....you should try driving the Cuda R2's and soon to be released R3.
