Roll tide if your stock pins can be pushed out you should be able to then replace the pin with the IRS ones. I talked with Dave Irrgang at IRS a few months ago at a race and asked about making Yoke parts. Dave said that Yoke changes their stuff too much so he won't be having anything made specifically for the Yoke cars. I would have liked them to make a locked diff but no such luck. I guess someone else will have to make an aluminum one for the Yoke.

What is the part number for the longer ss shocks for use with the rayspeed conversion? Is it YS1SS-6? Rick

Rick,

Yes, those are the ones with longer shock bodies, thus the shock shaft will extend further making the shock's overall length longer.

If anyone is interested in lock diff (aka Spools) for the MR-4TCSD, let me know, since I'm inquirying around for spools for other cars, I can look into making them for the SD as well.

Steve, I would be very interested in a spool for the Yok SD. My guess would be if Speedtech put those on the market they would sell a huge amount of them!!! Keep us informed on that endevor.

Steve, me want spool too!!!

Keith, carpet will be here next week. Track will be done a week or 2 after that. So I'd say in about a month. I'll let you know when for sure!

Mark, the RaySpeed helps take out some of the slop/freeplay. But not all. Alot of the freeplay comes from the yok ball cups. I switched to the opened ball cups from Yok and that helped out some.

KilRuf, is there a package that comes with just the opened ball cups? Do you have a part #? Thanks

Sorry MO, there is not. I had to do it the hard way. ZC-207A comes with 1 pair ball cups and 1 pair openended (swaybar) ball cups. All for the price of 100. It would be nice though if they did.

The open ball cups are a lot less sloppy
I guess its coz they grab the metal ball more securely.
Too bad they packaged them this way.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the response, I have a company coming in tomorrow to look at the possibility of making the spools...plus other parts as well.

aluminum gear box halves! The front cover piece could still be plastic but the other half made of aluminum would stiffen the car up a whole lot and more than likely reduce the tweek problems people sometimes get with the car.

I've seen the word 'tweaked' being used to describe something about the chassis.

What do you guys mean by this? not balanced?

I don't know if this was a good idea but today @ Yatabe...

I thought i tried something with my 'black special'. I removed the outer screw for the motor mount and the T-bone plate that sits on the lower chassis, to give it alittle flex.

I'm no expert driver but it seem to be okay.

Should i put them all back into the car?

thanks

Smile MY MONTLHY SPRING RATE QUESTION

Ok some time has passed and there are more springs fitting this car than needed. I have some comparison charts but i dont have everything i need.

Again i only need this info so i can use the setup sheets i find with my AE spring set. So far i have all the yokomo spring rates compared to AE from CML DISTRIBUTION.

My current quest is for the spring rates in lb hopefully of the RAYSPEED line of springs. I am not even sure there order form stiff to soft. As there part numbers bounce all over the place.

Here is what i have on the RAYSPEEDS could someone sort them if they are out of order and add there spring rates to this.

RAYSPEED Springs:
RS-10 Shock Spring, Green
RS-09 Shock Spring, Blue
RS-05 Shock Spring, Yellow
RS-06 Shock Spring, White
RS-07 Shock Spring, Red
RS-08 Shock Spring, Gray
Softest down to hardest according to RAYSPEED
