Next weekend I will be ready. Riding the 4 wheeler this weekend plus my car is getting a face lift as well as new paint job, speedo, servo, shack towers, and chassis. Not everything will be done in time.

Does anyone know the exact diameter and height of the Rayspeed shockpistons? Would the fit in HPI shocks?

Thanks,

Thanks,
They should fit fine... I use HPI pistons when I had my SD...

Stock SD pistons work just fine.

Default Alum. knuckles?

Are the aluminum steering blocks (knuckles) worth it? For $35 I can buy at least 8 regular ones. I seriously doubt I'll break that many. Is it mainly for the bling, or are they really that much better?

Hey Matt I'm sure Kash remembers as he would have always been behind you.

Ok my Rayspeed Conversion is about done. Just need to add my speedo (new one will be in next week). Servo is in and soe is the receiver. I used the stock SSS shocks with the long ball ends and RS alum. spring retainers. I had no problem getting the ride height I needed with foams so I'm pretty happy. My shocks are at 64mm for the front and rear. Car looks great.

The Suzuki aluminum knuckles have a different offset than stock.
Gives you slightly better steering response.

Does anybody know a setup that works well on a carpet track with high traction and a slightly bumpy surface. Im using a stock motor and the SSS shock bodies. Currently I have 60wt oil in the front with green springs, mounted middle on top and outside on bottom, and a stock swaybar. On the rear I have 40wt oil and Stainless springs, mounted the lower outside hole on the tower and outside on the bottom. For tires im running 26mm Cyan fronts and 26mm Tan rears of Trinity TRCs. Ride hieght is at 5mm all round. The problem im having is that it has too much steering when im under braking or neutral throtle, and when I apply power it understeers. It used to be very unsettled or very difficult to drive coming into a corner until i put greens on the front then it was easier to enter the coner. But this made the understeer a little worse. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

MattSSG I would run a bigger front sway than the stock one. The stock one don't do much of anything.

I normally run Plaid fronts and purple rears. Purples have always hooked up great for me in the rear. If you run Yoke springs I would run Orange fronts and either orange rears or green rears.

What screw, the long thin one to hold the diff? Oh yeah, the diffs only have one screw... oneways have more, duhhh what was I thinking!! haha. Hmmmmm. I dunno, head is 2mm wrench. Part number is ZS-508. That's all I know.

Forty6, it flexs too much for carpet. I tried already and the chassis tweaks easy.
