The bevel gears are the same except the different color and material, aren“t they?!

Thanks,
IH
The ring gear for ball diff use and the ring gear for one way use are different. The ring gear for one-way use has a larger hole than the diff one.

Cheers

YOKOMO,ZE-001P GT-4 FRONT PLASTIC BUMPER
YOKOMO,GT-0001FS GT-4 URETHANE BUMPER,
YOKOMO,E-001L GT-4 WIDE Bumper.,

Does the wide one fit the SD without cutting or is the other one wide enough?

Thanks,
IH

Not sure about those parts but this maybe cheaper and possibly faster since its normally in stock at LHS.

TC3 Buds bumper and about 5 minutes to cut it out to fit over top of the stock kit yokomo stubby bumper. I used a really used old one in the picture below. My latest one is cut out of a blank KYDEX sheet. Use the foam bumper as a template in that case.

You can not use a center stiffener with the RaySpeed Chassis. The new Steering rack and motor mount would be in the way. Tomorrow I get to test my new chassis! Yipee! We'll see how it does....

Thanks Kilruf. Can't wait for your feedback regarding the RS chassis. Hopefully, it is as good as it's hyped up to be.

Very nice, interesting idea with the top decks did you remove the center brace?
Nope, I didn't I want to make the chassis stiff.

however, I just drilled two holes on the Rayspeed top deck
and remove the SGG already.

Default TWO QUESTIONS??????

Hello All,
I was considering retiring my Evo III Surikarn and trying a SD for a change but I have a few questions regarding the kit.

Firstly what is the better version to get, the SSG or the Standard Carbon Fibre. What I want to know really is Besides just looks Is there a difference in weight, stiffness etc.

Finally will a Novak SS System fit in the car without a struggle???

Thanks for your help.

Default Shooter Parts

Would anyone happen to know where to buy the Shooter parts for the SD? I know Precision RC has it but never got a reply back from them. Does anyone know what their contact number is?

Thanks.

I finally received my RS conversion kit yesterday, and naturally I nearly completed it by this morning. Here are some first impressions:
„The bottom deck is more flexible, however it is much lighter.
„The steering system is much, much better than the original; it has almost no play, is smoother and has a low CG (looks like it anyway )
„I believe the motor mount is shifted further back, but I'm not certain.
„With the new shock towers you can run very stood up positions.
„The top deck is stiffer than the original.

It is true that you cannot run the center stiffener with the RS chassis, however if you were to modify it, it would fit. Specifically, shorten it some.

I noticed one other weird thing: if you look at the RS bottom deck, you'll notice it has 2 extra holes at the rear end of the chassis, and it is longer. I wonder if Rayspeed is developing something to fit there Later I can post a picture of what I'm talking about if you like.
