ongbenghui,
I did pretty much what you did but I asked Kilruf about the steering rack and he said that the holes do not line up on the RS and SSG chassis so I held off. I like my SSG lower deck, so I got shock towers for now.

Show off my SD.

I am using a Rayspeed top deck on top of the SSG top deck.
There is offset on the steering post hole from Rayspeed and SSG. I need to make countersunk hole on the SSG to secure the steering post.

However, with Rayspeed top deck, center stiffer. I still find the
chassis is flexy.
Dude, where did you order your Rayspeed conversion from man?

I know for a fact the Singapore Yokomo distributor had been sleeping on the job so you couldn't have gotten that from the LHS

If you don't know yet, I'm Charles... yah the guy who was discussing Ackerman with you trackside at Nacos remember?

Cheers

For that furry $h*t they are trying to pass off as "carpet" in CCK, I was using green springs all ard with Xpress radial tires

Trust me, the "carpet" we are using in Singapore is way less grippy than the stuff they use abroad, hence the need to compensate for it. For example, Jerry's track has a much better quality carpet than the blue CCK stuff

Cheers

chattering UJ's problem solved... The rim's (JB racing) inside spokes rub on the lower part of the castor block and A-arm... solution: trim a little bit of the A-arm and move the castor block hinge pin to the lower hole... I could dial-in some steering throw, and the car does turns on-power now... Silly me for not seeing it earlier...

Car is still a little loose off-power... Will work on it. Received my Suzuki hubs, Square Ti bones (front), and rear Tobee Al. bones (rear), and my rear shock tower to put up front...

carpet racing, here I come!!!

Later,
Paul

Hi friends. Greetings from Malta.

WYD. Have no fear. I'm still here!

Still running the SD and loving it. Have moved to the mod class this season and am experimenting with motors etc, but having big trouble blowing motors apart with these strong 3300 cells.

Did a couple of meetings in England in August. Good fun.

I got a phonecall from a friend in Sicily yesterday, telling me that guys on RCech had been asking about me, so this is just to tell you all I'm still around.

Hope to be able to contribute a bit more in the near future.

Regards

Joe from sunny Malta.

JB, we're glad to see that you are still with us and also having a good time with the SD. Goodluck with your move to mod.

Default One way gear?!

Hi,

I am wondering if you could use the ball diff ring gear (SD-503, the white one) with the one way?? Or do I need part nr. SD-643.
The bevel gears are the same except the different color and material, arenīt they?!

Thanks,
IH

Another question

Some time ago we were talnking about using the GT-4 bumper for the SD. What of the following parts do I need:

YOKOMO,ZE-001P GT-4 FRONT PLASTIC BUMPER
YOKOMO,GT-0001FS GT-4 URETHANE BUMPER,
YOKOMO,E-001L GT-4 WIDE Bumper.,

Does the wide one fit the SD without cutting or is the other one wide enough?

Thanks,
IH
