I just got the pricing on the chassis:

Chassis: 99 pounds = 165 US dollars
Front Shock Tower: 10 pounds = 17 dollars
Rear Shock Tower: 20 pounds = 20 dollars

Total = $202 for the whole setup.

That's more than the Rayspeed setup for $150.

Too bad the pound to dollar ratio isn't better.

Yo Brian, come out and race since you're like the library of knowledge on this site and yokomousa.com site. Let use that knowledge and apply some of it. I can help you, really.

Springs dictate the ride height, unless the shock was too long compressed. You should have damping as long as there is oil on both sides of the piston. Looking at Adachi's latest set ups he has been running the longer shocks for some time on all 4 corners. Is there something I'm missing here?
Brian: elaborate on this theory, will ya ?? I think im missing out on something here.

I tried RaySpeed conversion kit for race today!
they are exelent !!especially motor mount.
the motor mount does not have screw on
the right side of chssis , which meens can flex freely.
my result was .9sec(almost 1sec) faster!

here are some pictures.

Sorry guys, not exactly thinking straight that time, had real-car setups flaws, and mixing them up with rc-car stuff. Sorry. As for you Roger, how I don't see anything from you? J/K. The knowledge part, not very big, in all honesty. Always room to learn a little more...

Hi,

Somewhere, I read that the Rayspeed kit is especially designed for using the longer ss shock bodies, right?! Does this car also work with the sss shocks or does it make no sense to use them?!

Thanks,
IH

It seems that hi-lowbrow is the only one to actually put his together and race his already, maybe he can answer the question if you need longer shocks. I would really be surprised if you need to buy new shocks just to use this conversion kit. The new motor mount is supposed to eliminate the rear chassis tweek the car sometimes gets by bracing the left and right sides evenly.
