Sure. My Rayspeed conversion kit should come early or middle of next week, and when it does I'll try to post pictures.

Hi,

i've went to the hobby store today and the guys there told me that the long blue shock dampers for the MR4-TC YS-1SSS 5 is the same as the GT-4's shock dampers.

can i use those instead of the silver SS shock dampers?

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

In some cases yes, and others no. If you use a long shock body in all 4 corners, you will have little shock travel, and dampening will be at a minimum because the shock is compressed so much already. I would the long shocks up front where the length of the shock overall is longer than the rear on one because of the short vs. long shock end. But that's my $0.02.

rc_bam, I'm sorry but I don't understand your theory with the long shocks not having any dampening. If the shocks are shorter I might understand your reasoning? Springs dictate the ride height, unless the shock was too long compressed. You should have damping as long as there is oil on both sides of the piston. Looking at Adachi's latest set ups he has been running the longer shocks for some time on all 4 corners. Is there something I'm missing here?

Thanks for posting a detailed picture of the Rayspeed chassis.

That fiber-lyte graphite tub chassis looks cool, very original, but expensive. Has anyone sent that guy an email and found out the price of it?
