Well I ran go to run my friends Barracuda and my SD today. I had to work today but managed to make it in time for the last qualifier. Ran the Barracuda for the first time. Car was alright, but the servo would not center properly. Plus being it was my first time, it wasn't quite setup right. No practice no nothing. Tossed it out on the track and made Bmain with it. They do bump ups here. So I still had a chance to make the Amain.

Called my dad to pick up my Yokomo at the house and bring it to the track. Didn't get it in time for the Bmain so I had to take the R2 back out. Won the Bmain. But my lap times were almost a second off my normal pace. Got the SD ready in time for the Amain. But had to start in the back. Man, I got hammered through the whole race! Had the fastest car with the fastest lap times. But didn't do me no good with the slug fest hehe.

Anyways, ended up 6th. Sucky day for results but had fun. I was running the Shooters Upper Deck/Camber mounts. I guess I got nailed pretty good (?) on the left rear and it bent the camber mount up slightly. Plus now the ball stud wiggles around on the camber mount. Not soo good. Gonna end up taking the rear one off and mounting back my Team Suzuki Deck Mounts. They are a nice item to have. But I now wish they were thicker like the Tamiya Surikarn deck mounts.

Oh well, tired. Didn't go to bed last night. Guess I'll crash now. Gonna go play with setups tomorrow at the track.... L8Rz

How do the Rayspeed springs compare to the stock Yokomo as far as their spring rates go. Is their a chart anywhere that compares the two springs and weights so I can compare and decide on what ones I really need.

Thanks
Brian

Also..who would be interested in a solid 2.5mm or 3mm upper deck for carpet. The chassis is decent, but there is a fair amount of twist in the setup. I figure the Shooters or Suzuki deck mounts and a solid upper deck would make this car fly on carpet. If I made one it would be cheaper to have several made....most likely 20-25 bux???

So you can't really go wrong either way.
Jonas Anderson isnīt using a SD any longer. He is racing for Schumacher now.

Does anyone know what the Yokomo springs are in lbs. I ordered all of the spings that Yok. makes but I really don't know how much of a step there is between colors. It also makes it difficult to judge a good starting point with foam tires on carpet.

I also have a complete set of Associated springs, would it just be easier to use them??

The spring rates have been covered before. Look here: http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...ate#post472434

In order to use the Associated springs, you have to change to the Associated spring holders and shock ends or the Rayspeed spring holders.
