I had a great race yesterday with the Yok. Still using my own personal setup, but I went with Green springs all the way around (will probably try all Oranges next weekend) and added a little droop to the front and the car was on rails. Its good to get the car so well set up this week, so I will have something to reference it to next week when I drop the one-way in it for the first time.

The car is still completely stock. No mods to it, just minor setup changes. This was about my 5th or 6th race weekends with it, and no breakage or parts failures to report at this point. Just good strong running and constantly falling personal lap records of mine.

Can't ask for much more than that!

Well raced today with the SD in Stock. Still didn't get to test out the rear tower on front. Maybe next weekend I will try. Or even perhaps this Wednesday for practice. Anyhow... had some good competitiion. TQ'd... then my friend took it from me by 1 second. In the main we swapped leads a couple times for the first 2 laps. Then he hit a corner dot and I lead the rest of the way with pressure behind me from a sponsored guy hehe. He was fast, but I managed to hold on to the win. Only difference with my setup from my last Durham setup was I took out the center brace and I added a few other light weight items. Car was right on 1525g. Looks like I'll be adding weight once I receive a few other items in the mail next week.

Anyways, looks like there's gonna be some tough competition at the Nationals for this track. Gonna be fun! I just hope to make it up to the C main haha.

Well I just need to work on a few more things with Stock before I work on a Mod setup. Should be fun! Hmmm but it would be easier if I had a Reedy Race setup to start from hehe...

chckboy5- Masami (Yokomo), Baker(AE), and Spashett(losi) tied for the win and the tie breaker went to Baker.Tosolini also made the top 10 with the SD. Mo ran in the open mod class and TQ'd one round and set the second fastest lap in the open class

A friend of mine just bought an older MR-4TC Pro edition brand new, he likes blue anodized stuff, so somehow my shock caps ended up on his car, and the impossible to find older style caps ended up on mine Now I am just gonna have to figure out what kind of setup to run with the rear shock tower in front.

Here's a bit of trivia for you... The SSG is part number MRTC-SD1, the soon to be released "Black Special" is MRTC-SD3 - so what is MRTC-SD2????? The moulded budget version perchance - must be coming soon if the numbering has already ended up out of order...

Another thing - which is probably obvious to most people here - watch out for chassis tweak. Definitely file the edges off the servo mount slot to get that screw flush with the bottom, so you can sit the chassis on a totally flat surface before tightening down the top deck. Watch out for tweak after bruising runs as well, I've found that the car will take a tweak that twists the left rear of the chassis up quite easily, it seems to stay straight in the other direction, possibly because of the design of the motor mount. The SSG carbon is quite soft and can get held out of place. I tried a few anti-tweak measures (o-rings on topdeck screws, a single link at the front from the antenna mount to the shock tower), and it didn't seem to stop the tweak risk, only added flex.

MRTC-SD1 is original Japanese version with front One-Way, SD-2 is a export(U.S.) version with NO One-Way, SD-3 is a Black version in Japan. My guess would be a SD-4 with Black Version with No one-way??

Ran my car for the first time this past weekend....LOVE IT! Had some new kit issues...lost a wheel nut in the main which did not make me happy...lol But the car has a huge up side to it.

My only issue was a glitch problem at times. I am running the novak xxtra with my m8...thinking about putting back in my blue airtronics. Anyone else have any radio problems with the new SD?

What days are you guys racing? We are interested in coming up for sure!

May have to get some setup stuff from you for up there. My car was good but needed just a little more turn in speed...going to try the rear shock tower conversion.

Jeff, just try moving your receiver to the top deck, if you haven't already. That should help the glitching.
