Cool. There was a last minute call for the 03 Off Road worlds event, and I am tryin to get my foot in the door. I will be running my B4 for 2wd, and propably gonna drop the $1200 for the durango to run 4wd. Wish there was a way to convert the SD to off-road

I thought about trying the MR-4BC stuff, but I would need chassis kickup for one, and the car is no longer listed on yokomo usa's website.

The center one way wouldn't bee too hard, I was looking at how they had it done on the Durango, and obviously, we now have a front one way... I have never tried to scrap a car together, and dont know if I could make a worlds winner by doing it when I would be going up against companies with tons of R&D research in their cars, and teams to test and improve upon them.

SD offroader with BC parts NOT as easy as you might think.

Even if you manage to mount the wishbones, you'll find that they push the car out too wide (SD wishbones mount further apart than TC wishbones).

Even if you make custom wishbones, you'll still have the issues with wheelbase, geometry, body fit, and shock tower mounting strength.

Big project whichever way you look at it - of course, anything is possible.

Word is that Yokomo have given up on an SD offroader for the time being.

I had already thought of all of those problems, and that's why I'm not going to make the attempt myself, but if someone else does, and makes a conversion kit that looks promising, I would definately be a buyer... I dont have the resoarces needed.
