Need some help from Yokomo experts!
1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys, hopefully one of you Yokomo gurus can do some measurements for me. I'm trying to source front control arms for a completely unrelated car and the following part might do the trick (hopefully!).
It's an aftermarket Yeah Racing arm set (#SD-087BU) for several models of Yokomo, but mainly MR-4TCSD. See the link for the actual item, and please refer to my diagram showing what measurements I would love to know. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=380283608395 I hope someone here has this part on their car or in their parts bin and can break out the millimeter ruler! Thanks for your help. |

Now this conversion is much more difficult if you want to re-use your old SD universals. However no drilling is required! they bolt right on! Now for the quick and easy way just buy the BD5 universals (BD-010R) and 5x10 bearings. I did not want to buy the BD5 universals because I have so many original SD universals and 6x10 bearings. So if your like me, you will need to find some 6x10 shims to space out the bearings to accomadate the SD rear axle. I used a 1mm thick spacer on the outer bearing and 1.5mm thick spacers on the inner ball bearing. Just keep shimming until its tight and spins free with NO drag. Are you running BD5 drive shafts/universal shafts on the front also? Which ones? Do they have a better steering angle than team Suzuki's? Chatter? Thanks |

I race both. The LCG has the BD5 rear hubs. My

You won't get an answer. Sammy's no longer with us.

new yokomo sd releases.
Could anybody know why the new production releases of Yokomo MR4TC-SD eg: Drift Package,Type C, SD Sports uses Self Tapping Phillips Screws instead of the usual 3mm Allen Screws? Is this an improvement as the Philips Screw threads are farther apart with longer & sharper threads thats cuts a deeper thread on the parts that makes a tougher hold against stripping on impact compare the 3mm shortrer thread that are have more threads per inch and makes a thinner thread on the parts?
Also does the new Plastic Parts of new Yokomo SD now which are manufactured for drifting and club racing are more brittle than than those parts of SD released 8 to 10 years ago which are tough as been tested since they are manufactured internded for touring car racing? because wayback those days MR4TC SD used to be for high end modified T.C. racing. |
Good morning everyone, can somebody tell me what the internal ratio the D150rs and the D150fs gear diffs have ? greetzzzz |
