Enough shims for the input shaft to spin freely without play.

The Transmission Ratio is 2.353 go to www.gearchart.com and you can find the final drive ratio of any combination of pinion and spur gear.

Sometimes a little nick in the ring gear or drive gear can cause the same problem check both ends of the car for that.

Tom, also try shimming the diff itself, by putting shims before the bearing. That worked for me, and now I have a super free drivetrain. I also recently replaced the front bevel gear.

Thumbs up SPOOL IN LCG

Just sharing this with others. I fitted the Yokomo plastic spool to the LCG and ran it last night. The car was easier to drive with spool than the one way. I am running a CO27 stock motor and using 4200 batteries and the car has great acceleration.

The only hitch for the night was the CVD pin moved after a hard contact and bound up the front left wheel. I am going to remove the drill blank and put a notch half way along the pin, so that the grubscrew locates into this. A tip I read in XRC Cars.

I will be sticking with the spool,as it provides great pickup out of the corners. With the spool fitted you have to change other settings on your car. Even though the left front bound up, the spool did not get chewed up.

Thanks to Pops for the advice and assistance with setup.

Cheers
Calvin.
