Default Mamba Max Vs Novak 4.5

Hi all,

I am just wondering if you all have tried the above mentioned and which one do you think is better? I've read the review on the ESC for Mamba Max and it seems that its functions surpass the GTB. Is that the case?

Do share your opinion as i am contemplating on trying out the Mamba Max...

Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

I just ended up ordering a mamba max myself. I can only comment on the mamba I had in my mini inferno, one word...Ballistic! Yes it would seem feature for feature the max has the GTB, and sphere beat. What
I like the most is the software and download updates when available, not just new ESC models so often. It seems like the newer BL systems will be going sensorless so my advise is get the Mamba, or wait for the new Tekin. Either way you could use the tekin motors to get your stock, or 19t class. The price is pretty darn hard to beat too, IMO.

IMHO...The Mamba Max blows away the Novak. Had the GTB, one word...HUGE!!!! The Mamba max is smaller, more efficient, and easier to tune. Very nice system to run with.

I own both and I think the MM is bigger. I do agree though the MM is easier to setup (with a Computer ) and is faster as you can gear it to the nuts and it doesn't thermal
Dollar for dollar the MM is the hands down winner by a mile!!!

nnick,

I am also in the market for a brushless system. The Mamba is a good one, I think I will wait for the Tekin system to come out, that and living in Idaho, gotta support the local folks, and Jim (Tekin) makes a great product.

Here is the website for the Mamba Max

Here is the site for Tekin

mamba max has a bigger foot print i think than the gtb

mamba max ESC overall:
1.9 x 1.3 x 1.2"

gtb Length: 1.49" (37.8mm)
Width: 1.16" (29.5mm)

That is without factoring in the size of the massive capacitor needed on the GTB. Although it can be located pretty much anywhere, unlike the fixed foot print of the CC Mamba max.

Yes.
But Castle Creations is working on a software update to be able to run sensored motors as well.
So all motors can be run with the Mamba Max, brushed, sensored, and sensoreless.
What more can you ask for?

As far as I know a brushless motor doesn't have to be sensored to be ROAR approved (I could be wrong though as I have never been a fan of Roar).
I do realise that the MM isn't Roar approved but I don't think it's because it's Sensorless.

I thought only sensored brushless could be submitted for IFMAR approval. Im in Australia, btw.
