Default motor

Hello, have you peolpe run in asphalt with a 7x1 or 8x1

My motor goes very good in punch, but in 1 minute it starts to lose punch
why?

1 - the circuit is a fast one, i can not go full throtheel, if not the motor starts to scream a lot
2- if i gear down the final ration, to go full th i loss the punch

the brushes i tried both, normal one and the ones for 4minuts race, at the first one the wire chances color and in the second one the brush chance color.

Is the problem overheat? The brush? the final gear?

thanks for help

Hello,

I've seen on webshop that there is "Team Checkpoint Hara edition".
What are the differences with the classic checkpoint series ?

Thanks.

I would only use the Infinity brush with 7 or 8 turns on asphalt. I would also use the silver springs both sides. The brushes last about 4 or 5 runs before loosing spring tension due to them getting shorter, which can cause fade.

If the motor is screaming a lot down straightaways it means the motor is out of balance. If it was epoxied then it probably flung off. If it is drill balanced then the wires shifted due to high heat.

Depending on the track size, I would cut down the timing and gear up wit the motor to make it finish better.

Jeff

I was curious if the whole brushless thing had anything to do with his change.. i had seen orion was working on a brushless system.. I had read the ae guys had been some what forced to run brushless.. with orion doing the brushless testing, i was curious if maybe the were going to force there guys to run them.. Might he have made the switch to keep from having to run brushless??

Thumbs up MR and Tamiya

This is the exact text from Marc's father from December 6th, 2006. (www.rcweb.de)

Basically he writes (for nonGerman readers) that Marc never had thoughts about leaving Tamiya and that he is very happy to be with Tamiya and looking forward to 2007 racing with his team members (Victor, Steen, Hupo). David Spashett will be consulting the team after he has now retired.

Dromi"
