But the first surface RC car or thing with wheels that I had was a Kraft Motorcycle.

Wow lots of memories going through the lists on here.
Yeah....as long as I don't ADD UP all these RC car's price tag all together, it is all good old fun. Otherwise, I can only see HEARTATTACK coming...
Yeah, RC10 was in my high school period in HK, very close to the Kyosho Optima (I think Optima came out alittle later)....but buying USA made cars in HK back then was SKY PRICE....they had the MIP 4WD conversion along with all the hard white plastic arm as the options.......then believe it or not, CORALLY, made the aluminum red upgrade arms and blink blink for Rc10....and yes, SKY PRICE....no way I can afford that. At that time, I can only afford the YOKOMO DOGFIGHTER YZ-834B, which I got one used...cannot afford the new one.

Yupe, TRC Pro 12 and Pro 10 were the RC12L/Delta killer....but they were not cheap, I can only afford a used Pro 12, PRO 10 were expensive everywhere....10 scale pan car was the new big thing back then.......but for 12th scale, MUGEN was the biggest thing over Asia.

I am now thinking....7 cells 8.4V off road was the NEW HIP thing back then...now, we are back down to 4 cells 4.8V...what a conincident....LOL

Being that next March will mark 3 yrs. for me, I've only starting RACING a little over a year ago. My first kit was the Losi XXX-S RTR. Loads of fun!!! I have since 'graduated' to more expensive tastes. I think the only major players I haven't own anything from yet is Schuie, AE and X-Ray Just ask my wife....

My very first R/C Car (hobby not toy) was a Big Bear monster truck.. I was soooo young.. but it was awsome.. me and my dad built it.. My dad was so pissed my god parents bought me this massive kit :P

I was prolly 10? or younger?

then the next one was a Traxxass Buggy and upon getting that RTR I started going to the local track.. after realizing the Traxxass was not competetive I got a Team Asssociated B2 and then a Team Losi XX CR

ahhh the good old days of offroad are over...

so I went to a Team Associated TC3 and now a Xray T2R

been in and out of R/C for 10+ years....

Tamyai Grasshopper - still have it, all stock except tires. Had a custom made hump back 7 cell battery, MRC charger. 1985-86'ish?? can't remember

Tamyai Wild One - Super nice buggy. Fastest of the day. This would have been 86 - 87 ish

My buddy got a Tamyai Big Wig with 2 motors and 4 wheel drive, then I didn't want to play.

Must bring them back to life!

Now - Team TC4

Tamiya Hornet.

A couple weeks later my dad pulls in the garage and opens up the back of his truck to show me two blackfoots, a subura Brat, and a gold tub 6 gear trannies RC10. I had a blast with that lot of cars for years until I finally got a RC10T when they first came out and began racing.

How many of you remember the old Subaru Brat
