Default HYDROGEN FUEL CELL RC CAR

Hydrogen RC car. I saw this in an article on a product design website. Just add water! This is real innovation.

It's a cool car but it doesn't look to be an RC car

The article on the website that directed to this site mentioned that it was RC.

That is pretty damn cool. You have to buy the H2 fuel pump for another $40 also.

What does it do? I don't see a remote control radio or antenna on the car, does it just go in a straight line? The brochure doesn't really say either.

This is what the article I read said...

"Not quite there for humans yet, but small animals can definitely cruise with a clear conscience. Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies presents the H-Racer, a remote-controlled hydrogen-powered car with an on-board hydrogen storage system. The optional solar-powered hydrogen station supplies the H-racer with an unlimited supply of clean energy just by adding water."

Then there was a link to the manuf. website....That's all I know!

then its possible running 24 hours endurance race using some small hidrogen canister each runs 1 or 2 hour, that would be great...

I think Hydrogen Fuel Cells in RC Cars is a terrible idea...Battery wars are bad enough as it is.

Now we'll have GP, IB, Evian, etc. all trying to make a "better" rc water with more water in it.

Well, there's only so much Hydrogen you can extract from water...thank goodness. Unless Intellect comes up with a way to re-write the laws of nature.

What they don't mention is that the fuel cell would need to be heated to at least 600-700 Celsius to make the chemical reaction occur. That should be fun in an RC car.

Also, a fuel cell that small isn't going to generate very much voltage or current. It will be nowhere close to the 7.2V (or even 4.8V) that we're all used to. For that size, it would be less than 0.5 V.
