what is the correct way to use tire warmer?
Hi, I am relatively new to electric on road.
It is getting cold so I got myself a MMR tire warmer. What is the correct way to use it? and at what temp? I use rubber tire at socal raceway.
I tried it one time, but I took it off too early so by the time race started, it is cold already.
Thanks

Ha... I'd help you but then you might beat me.
No really Paco and I each picked up a set of the Reedy ones at the AE garage sale. We all will be trying to figure out the best way to use them.

Depends on your definition of cold
At the rubber/carpet races at the moment, a lot of people clean up the tyres, then add additive, allow that to soak in for 10-15 mins, then use the warmers to heat up whats left.
Quite a few drivers will take the warmers off as they are about to take their car to the grid (myself included), or if you have a pit bitch, they can leave the actual warmers on the tyres and remove them on the grid.
