The Corally cars were dialed this past weekend at The Gate. Big Thanks to Rob Michael for the all of the help and support. I will get a setup sheet sent over to Jeff for rubber tire, high bite carpet, and Xenon tires......... Brian Koch had a really good set up as well. He survived the mayhem of the main and finished with a top 3. Congrats Brian! I was not so lucky and placed 6th.

uhmm you did get some love in your main... Your car looked real good...

I know in foam 17.5 the top 3 cars were Phi's and I know there were more in the main...

Great job guys!! Rob, I'm looking for a good starting point for rubber tire 17.5 and 13.5 at snowbirds. I'm getting really to deploy, so I'll have to get the car ready when I get there or shortly before.

What LIPO are you guys running in your PHIs??? I know alot of folks are running the SMC 5000, might have Tag set one aside for me.

I went faster with the IP3800 and it fits in the car. I had an SMC5000 for this race, but my older 38's were faster on the track. Tag has them......

My new TRF shocks have just arrived. but noticed the Ball end holes are much smaller than the Corally ones. How are you guys installing these ?.
Just switch to Tamiya Ball nuts all the way arround ? Corally or Tamiya Connectors on the shock shafts

What kind of headaches do you get with the stock shocks? I never had any problems with the stock shocks, and I've been able to build them comparable to the tamiya shocks.

Constant leaking problems coming out the top. I have changed new bladders
, tried the TRF bladders worked for a while, A friend sold me a brand new set of TRFs for $25 so im gonna use those. Im not the only 1 that has had probs
as i got the idea to run those shocks from this thread

When I used TRF shocks on my Phi I used the standard tamiya ball connectors on the top and bottom of the fronts and on the tops of the rear shocks. On the rear shock bottoms I used the Corally balls and connectors, and left the connectors unscrewed a bit to get the proper shock length and droop.

Run the Tamiya brass ball studs. Note: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE BALLSTUD, IT WILL STRIP EASILY! - No kidding... I really wish the Corally Aluminum ball fit the Tamiya tops. You also will need to use the Corally shock eyelet at the bottom, and if your springs are topped out, switch the spring cups to AE TC3 versions... It will lower the spring on the shock body.

I too run the Tamiya shocks. I use the brass ball studs on the top and mugen MTX3 shock eyelets with a screw. Works great!

"Kring" I too ran the IP 3800 and it fits in the car with only a small amount of grinding on the bulkhead and the top deck button.

Get one you will have more time to drink then...
