I need some help. I recently bought a used RDX and I have got some of the set up sheets from the Corally web site. What set up would any of you recommend for a carpet set up? The traction is medium grip. I'll probably run foams. Thanks.

Try brad's setup from the novak race, or Jarrods from carpet nats. I know for a fact Jarrod's is pretty smooth and easy to drive, maybe just add a touch more toe in in the rear.

Team Corally any info about the RDX Phi getting a milled battery slot to fit 4800 or 5000 lipo packs if not for the 3600 Race Spec???? about the same as the motor side(maybe not that low) would clear the 4800's/5000's lipos(I guess lipos need to look at the chassis that are on the market as well)...I hope something would come out soon.

The only hard packaged lipos that fit are the 3200 peak/orion/kyosho. It's tight but they fit. The 4800 you'll have to mount on it's side to fit or have it hang over the side of the chassis.Or you can get a softpack and get some
.30 or.40 lexan sheet and make a protective cover (I haven't tried it yet but it should work).

Hi All...

Is it true that its better to run the 42/21 pulley combination over 36/21, due to the fact that 42/21 creates less belt wrap and therefore produces a more efficient drive train?. And can one tell me what the advantages/disadvantages are to running a short / long wheelbase, does one get faster topend with a longer wheelbase ?

Thanks Ya`All

Wheel base has nothing to do with straight line speed. It has more to do with weight placement over the wheels, and weight transfer. Some will say that a long wheelbase is more stable going down straight sections, and corners slower. The theory is that a square wheelbase/track width doesn't know which way is front, therefore being less stable. It has also been said that a shorter wheel base will react in corners faster. Tuning a chassis will always be a compromise, and you will have to keep tuning until you find the compromise that you can live with.

I will be working on these in the next couple days. I do need some drivers to still send in their setups.

Brad and I are heading out to Omaha next weekend for their big carpet race. If you are close to there you may want to check it out.

Thanks Jeff.

I got a major problem keeping the plastic diff nut intact. And find they shift during a race causing inconsistent drive. Really frustrating !!

What's the secret ?

Some locals are using the older RDX pieces, but there must be a better way.
