As of right now, they are no longer doing the motor mount.

I was told due to the lipo tray hanging off the chassis, it balances better with the stock mount, so there is no need for it.

Correct. But, only if you use the larger lipo packs like the SMC 5000 in their new lipo tray. The offset motor mount still works well with the lighter weight lipo packs or NIMHs in the standard battery position.

OH ok..that is prob. why I am running the IP 3800 that fits in the reg. battery slots..

Then, the offset motor mount IS applicable to your situation. You are currently doing exactly what I was doing a few months ago.

True. And I assume that you do have the offset battery mount too. That is what I currently run on my indoor and outdoor Phi cars.
