I have a question about the new diff. Since there is no longer a thrust ring and washer, What holds the short output shaft to the long? Does the bulkhead hold it together?

What upgrades do you recommend for carpet rubber?

Do you run the short rear wheelbase on asphalt only or is it beneficial on carpet rubber? Also do you run the 2.9mm or 2.4mm chassis/top deck for carpet rubber?

Upgrades: Front One-way, the 5% compound front and rear suspensions arms.
Short wheelbase is fine. However, the super short wheelbase(coupler mounts forward, which hasn't been proven on carpet yet.) But Go For It! There are so many variables concerning your wheelbase question?
2.4mm chassis would be fine for carpet.
2.4mm top deck for low grip - 2.9mm top deck for high grip.

Certainly agree with most everything; but, don't waste time trying to use the super short wheelbase on carpet. The short wb can be really good on asphalt though.

I would start with Rob Michaels' Vegas Set-up. (www.corallyusa.com/setup sheets) It was basically stock with a couple of smart set-up ideas. His car was money

I thoroughly agree. My latest setup is still based on Rob's 2007 rubber setup with the addition of 36T pulleys (for BL gearing) on the long wheelbase. Jeff or Rob at CorallyUSA can help you with the needed parts.

And the new diff is great too. Diff issues have been 'put to bed'.

Yeah, Rob and Tony's cars were ballistic in the mains. They were flat, fast, and carried a ton of corner speed. Best of all, they werent running alot of option parts or anything. They just had a set-up that works. I plan on running it at Snowbirds in Jan.

For Carpet Rubber Tires I would go back some pages and find Josh H rubber tire setups. That was a awesome starting point for me..
