I don't know why you guys think we need a new car. The corally is already the best car out there, even out of the box. With corally it's always been updating parts and putting them into the kits. They won't release a new car, just continue to sell the kit with the updated parts.

Agreed that the Phi is a great carpet car (both foam and rubber); but, not quite there on asphalt...Yet!

Well the rest of the world runs on rubber tires.. So beings the car isn't from here i'd say winning on rubber tires in EU is pretty important.

The car is really good on asphalt, but there are always improvements to be made. Thats why Tamiya and Xray come out with a new car each year. As we continue to explore and try new things, upgrades will become available - Just like the new diffs.

I wouldnt hold my breath for a 416-like RDX. Corally's have a flavor all thier own. Always have, always will. They just work

so, does that mean that this chassis is being developed with rubber tire specifically in mind? If so, I think its a good move for the company as it keeps them up to date with the rest of the world.

In the mean time, I'll be burning foam at an exponential rate for as long as I can. The future of tc is rubber, but right now it's all foam for me!

Arluck: Your team is falling apart.A personal suggestion is that you run a Ta05R with a 350z body and a 13.5 motor.Just put Corally stickers on it.

Default Pinion issue with new offset motor mount

I now have the new Specialized offset left rear motor mount bulkhead on my ultra-short wheelbase asphalt Phi. I also have the 36T pulleys on it and run a Novak 13.5. The 36T pulley on the front makes the front belt too close to the pinion body and set screw when they are turned away from the motor; so, running them that way is no longer an option for me.

Only problem encountered is that my PRS pinion set screw (turned towards the motor) now doesn't get to make contact with the flat on the motor shaft. The set screw hits on the round part of the motor shaft. Only way I see around this would be to extend the flat on the shaft by filing or grinding it. Any other suggestions? Or, is there a narrower pinion gear to use? Thanks.

Wow, that's a close tie for having the airline steward announce that "the INS is waiting at the gate for a Mr. James Arluck"...
