Mike,

If you wanna travel there's a few of us running mod on carpet here, myself, Jucha, Goop and we could probably get Paulie to come out. Good luck at the Paved Nats if you're going!

I would use Rob Michaels IIC set up with the following changes:
- Super short wheelbase with 36T pullies.
- 2 degress caster blocks
- 30 wt in rear with a 14-15lb spring
- 40 wt in front with 17lb spring
- narrow hexes

question most set-ups that are posted or from website, are the downstop measured on droop gages or measuring up travel?

I dont blame you, I belive his droop is measured on the AE gauge with 5mm of ride hieght. No idea what length his shocks were, that throughs a monkey wrench in the works.

If you can read my chicken scratch.....put this setup on your car.

I go back and forth between spool and one way for club racing the only change I usually make is to take about 5 clicks of dual rate out for the spool.

And for the record my droop is always measured over ride height.

I like how your time is listed as "Fast". Even your setup sheets are dialed.

His car was set up for rubber so he use a gauge, but with foam and wear uptravel is better way to measure since the tire size changes and affects the droop. FYI we used Jaco Greens for the spec tire at IIC last year.

I'm interested in seeing how much weight people are adding to their cars for lipo and where they are putting it. Who's got some pics?

Check out the REDRC daily link to a pic of a all weather box mounted on a Tamiya, I know its the wrong car, but the counter weight bar with the LiPo setup is kinda neat.

I've filled the battery cutouts with lead them filed flat and taped them in.SMC 4000 on top. Weight around 80 grams still need around 80grams more with novak brushless.

Yeah, I know. I was at the IIC last year. Just wasn't sure what Robbie was running for up-travel because he didnt label what his shock lengths were. That will have a big effect on droop.
