When friends and coworkers see the cars, they don't understand how something this small can cost so much.... but when I bring the Savage and let them try it, they all want to buy one. Something about the engine noise and the fact that you can drive it anywhere makes more sense then a purpose-built carpet race car.

At our library there's a big shelf of magazines that the school is subsribed to for kids to look at while in the library. I don't know why but now there's R/C Driver there. Pretty cool if ya ask me.

The nice thing though is when we're in the computer lab we can look at rctech because the teacher's wouldn't know. The school has ban myspace and stuff like that, but me and the other kid that race have nothing to worry about. Today I'm not in the lab though, because I have a SNOW DAY!!

The only coworker of mine that truely gets what RC is all about is the one that got me back into it after many years of doing nothing with it. We were talking one day and he said his boy races RC cars and that the track is close by our houses. I went and checked it out and am not hooked. That was dirt and I have since went pretty much die hard onroad but it is funny to see the looks on peoples faces when you tell them how much for kits and accessories. They are pretty impressed when I pull the body off the car and they see all the CF though.

Ya most of my friends are snowboarders, so they all pretty happy prolly. I can't afford 500$ snowboard with 1000$+ racing setup.

I see you're running rematch products. That's cool. Sending you a PM.

When people tell me that it isn't cheap then I say that everyone who starts with a hobby has to invest the first time.
Starting in computers and keeping them up to date is also a big investment.
At my work they are impressed when I talk about setting up a car and all the things you can change to make the car faster.
