Here's the link for info. I wonder if those bulkheads will work on my TA05?

As usual, Tamiya found another way to drain my checking account. Have one pre-ordered at the hobby shop.

No, it won't, the holes where you connect the upper deck is different than a TA05.

Remember, this is NOT a TA05.

Anyone ordered one yet?

I was just notified by my hobbyshop that my per-order is in - just paid - car shipped today and I should have it on Monday or Tuesday. I am not buying the car to build at this time, have too much on my plate - but the kit looks awsome and being some what limited in availability I could not resist. Looks like one of the best looking kits Tamiya has come out with in quite some time.

This is a sort of kit that one would buy 2...! One to build and one just for keeps. Thats good marketing...! Kudos to tamiya

Why is it listed as a TA05 on the tamiya site (see link above)?

I'd buy it just to keep if for a few years after it goes out of production and see how much it's worth then. But knowing me, I'd probably build it due to temptation.

I love Tamiya bodies. To bad my track uses boards instead of curbs or dots, I would have so many of them (I suppose the same price as a lexan shell or even close would get me to buy them too), I am just not a good enough driver to keep these sexy things sexy.

Red face Tamiya 30th Anniversary Porsche 934 #49400

Just got mine today for about 480USD. One just went on Ebay for $660USD. There are a few others on ebay that want in excess of 750USD.!!! Mine is going straight into storage for another 30 years!!!
Well, the chassis is based on the TA05 but shorter wheelbase. This is from
Tamiya USA site:
* 2-belt driven 4WD high performance R/C of the Porsche Turbo RSR Type 934
* Special chassis is based on TA05, and features 230mm wheelbase and carbon fiber double deck layout, cantilever center shaft
* All-new precision-crafted aluminum front, rear, and center bulkheads
* Front/rear ball differentials, with a gear differential in the center
* Equipped with front/rear short reversible suspensions
* Durable and lightweight polycarbonate body shell
* Headlights and tail lights can be fitted with LEDs (sold separately)
* Paint with new Polycarbonate Spray Paint PS-54 Cobalt Green (sold separately)
* Motor and ESC separately required.

Happy bidding!
