dont think the mazda speed 6 has been tested on carpet? and you see alot of mazda 6s used on carpet with the rubbers or that might be the dna? not 100% but pretty sure its the mazda.
solution: get both and test them on track and see which one you feel most comfortable with i think the new mazda speed 6 design would be excellent on a indoor asphalt track.

This new racebody provides even better handling balance, increased traction and added driver-feel comfort. It all adds up to this: better lap times.
thats from the mazdaspeed 6 write up on the protoform website.

The new MazdaSpeed 6 is a high downforce car for Rubber/Asphalt or Rubber/Carpet. You would have too much traction with this body on foams.

The Protoform DNA or Parma Alfa are low downforce Foam/Carpet tire bodies.

Depends on the application. Mazda 6 and Dodge are rubbertire bodies, Alfa is foams on carpet.

Aerodynamic downforce and altering the balance of front and rear downforce.

DNA and Alfa are low downforce so the cars are more free in the corners on high grip carpet faom tracks.

The Mazda 6 had a lot of downforce with a lot concentrated on the nose for more steering on low grip surfaces.

speed 6 . adds grip for low bite tracks
mazda 6 adds grip.. both make your car planted. both good for asphalt maybe carpet rubber tires. chop the wing down to ROAR spec.

with foms it will slow you down on carpet. go with dna or parma alfa.

If you are unsure do what I do.

whenever I go to a new track I bring 5 bodies and see which one gets the car balanced.

I use this in my arsenal. all wings are ROAR spec height no huge air dams
Mazda 6, Alfa, G6, Stratus
I have just added the speed 6 going to try it this wekend on carpet.

Believe it or not I have tried the parma M body 190mm and it works great too mod foam on carpet.

I suggest you try it out for yourself.

I liked the Protoform Alpha body for rubber tire asphalt. I will have next year both mazda bodies, Parma M, Proto Alpha, Stratus at the track. All painted the same

OK heres one for you - I'm currently using the G6 for foam/carpet and a Mazda6 or Dodge3 for rubber........

But typically at club races (carpet/foam) the grip isnt very high and some clubs don't allow additive....... what bodyshell would you say to use in those conditions??
