Default New SMC Matched Pack 1 cell way below 0.9v how to fix?

So I have a new SMC 3800 Matched pack.

As per SMC instructions...

Before the first full charge I put 200seconds of 5amp charge into the battery and then put it on my Trinity DPD to bring all of the cells down to 0.9v..

Well one of the cells in the pack after 200 seconds of charge was allready below 0.9v I think the trinity said 0.00v.

How can I fix this cell and bring it back up to 0.9?

will it come back up after a few cycles?

I saw the thread title up to "New SMC Matched Pack 1 cell" and thought this was a piss take :P

But as far as the cell is concerned id just cycle them a few times to see if the cell got better..

Here's a thought!

Go to SMC's website and send them an e-mail, with your situation, and let them (the experts) offer some suggestions.

I had the same thing happen to some of my SMC packs. The cells were dead and did not come back to life, even with a few cycles. Contact Danny from SMC and he will take care of you.

I would run the pack or cycle it before assuming it is a dead cell.

My son raced a 8 min qualifier in 4 cell 12th scale in cleveland, pack performed perfect took it out of car put on gfx to discharge and nothing happened, got to checking each cell and had one go bad 2nd run on brand new pack, these 4200s are very touchy, IB are working on the durability issue.

with the high mah that these cell are now they will fail and theres nothing you can do about it,i too have dead cells but they run ok for club racing,my smc4200 wc cells are still all good, but i have others from some other comp that have dead cells in the packs. when you get new cells try this the first charge put 200 sec in them then discharge, charge at 6A run the pack dont dump the pack in the car, discharge at 30A then then when the pack cools say 1 to 2hr put 500 sec back in themtill the next time you run,for most of us this is a week, discharge them at 5A a cell then put the pack in the Novak smart tray then charge the pack,i have only done this with the smc4200wc cells and they are still fast and have no dead cells YET! my discharger and charger are muchmore. not that this matters i think.
