Default RC's Greatest innovations.

The microwave, DVR's, cell phones are a few examples. Once you own these items it's hard to go without.

In the RC world we have a few (can't go without) items.

1.Spectrum (DSM) Technology. I never want to see a crystal again.

2.Rebuildable stock motors. Big money savings ??? Before this we had to cut the commutator through the endbell which sucked.

3.Personal transponders. Super convenient.

4. Multi model memories transmitters. Don't take this for granted. Before this we had to adjust the radio every time we changed cars.

5. __________________________________________________ ____

The Ball Diff
Invented by one Cecil Schumacher I believe... otherwise we'd still be running heavy gear diffs, tuning them with oil... being able to tune the pressure just by the turn of a screw is genius.

And threaded shock collars... a simple but effective answer to spring tunning

I'm not sure if they were first or not but I bought the first Delta speed control to come into our area. It worked but not near like they do now. I can remember how nice it was to take the servo and resistor system off my Superchamp

one touch setup speed controllers. esc's were a huge improvement over msc's, but the one touch setup is far easier than the tuning pots.

Softer compound tires with foam inserts. There once was a time when you only had a tread patten to choose from.

The pistol grip transmitter. Much nicer than the "brown box" and better than the sticks.

I vote for these new micro million amp speed controls and, love it or hate it, the battery technology. Even as frustrating as it is, these batteries are getting real good.

Ahh, I forgot about the "brown box". I still have mine too. After that one I went to a Kraft radio. That was a great improvement too.
