6 to 4 cell stick pack????

I was wondering if i could take off 2 cells of a 6 cell stick pack to make practice packs for my 12 scale????? I could use a battery bar to connect the 2 cells that and at the rear of the pack(opposite end of the connectors)

Thanx

if the cells are spot welded, they should pull apart (may take a bit of effort, but it can be done)
