I own one that I bought back in 01/02 I believe. I thought that it had been discontinued when they came out with the Barracuda R3, but apparantly not! It basically just has the motor up front instead of at the rear like the older common two belt tourers. It has a bouble one way setup at the front, meaning it has both a oneway pulley and oneway diff. I never really got the chance to run it much, it pretty much sits on a shelf for now, I work on the days that they ran the TC classes, I Didn't originally and thought I would get more chances to run it, maybe in the future. It was pretty pricey when I bought it, I purchased from an importer in New York and it was expensive. If you could get a real steal of a deal on one I would say it is worth a try, but otherwise I would consider it overpriced for what it is. The suspension components were a very durable material but flexed too much, they came out with a stiffer material and maybe they now include this new material in the kits? I believe I paid $450 when I bought mine, not sure on this it's been a while. For the money though it didn't have the fit and finish I would expect. The A arms had slop which could easily be fixed with shims, but brand new for the price I would expect them to have pretty good tolerance. It never had the success that the Baracuda series cars had and New they could be had for Much less $$. I liked it because it was different and interesting, unique, but with cars with performance like the T2R and others for the price I would suggest against it unless you can get a used one or a new one for under $200. I am sure it would be hard to get parts for as well. You might want to chime in on the Hong Kong racers thread, there were some guys on there a long time back who owned and raced these cars and could tell you more about them and there track performance I'm sure. RC Car Action did a review on one years ago as well, I don't remember which year but is was years ago.

I have tons of parts as in A arms extra belts for it. I have extra arms in both the regular material and the harder material. I bought spares in the regular material before I found outh they came out with a stiffer material, then i bought spares in that. Althogh I never got much chance to race it I did run it with my nephew in a parking lot just messing around. The chassis is noticabley scratched and scuffed and the front oneway diff is shot, it has a ball diff up front now, I am just using the oneway pulley. The bearings in the oneway diff blew, you could probably replace them, but you have to get them out of the aluminum housings, not sure how easy that will be. It might be able to use a oneway from another tourer as long as the dimensions are the same? If you are still interested make me a offer and I will think about it. I do like the car, just think it was overpriced and haven't got the chance to race it much. Also the anodizing on mine is Red and not Blue like the one in the pic.

Extra parts that I have are listed below:

3 rear belts
3 front belts
4 front arms soft material
4 rear arms soft material
2 front oneway diff pulleys
4 full sets of right/left steering knuckles and C hubs soft material
1 rear diff pulley
2 new front arms stiff
4 new rear arms stiff
3 full sets right/left sterring knuckles and C hubs stiff
1 pulley to elimate front one way pulley or replacement
2 sets diff rings/thrust rings
2 packages of hinge pin pivot balls
2 packages of Eclips
1 diff screw
1 diff outdrive set

schumacher: that link you posted says ドリフトユーザー which means....drift user. is this chassis being re-issued for drifting? it makes sense being a front motor chassis.

wailin: i can't make you an offer....you tell me how much you'ld take for the chassis and all spare parts you got.

i'm sure you could use a couple hundred extra bucks for christmas shopping...

Well... that's some drifters' thoughts. Do you think Losi JRX-S is a good drift car? I don't know... but I'm sure CE4 is a pretty neutral car, very easy to handle... just like Losi Street Weapon.

Answering to demand of drift user
Reissue it limits sells CLUB Enthuse 4. 5 years than start of sale. It is becoming boom of these days, CLUB Enthuse 4 which comes to the point of with again receiving attention ' the drift ' with. The chassis style which adopts the front midship in the drift car shows the highest performance. With alec sleigh singing design the user way you answered to the demand of reissue and you came to the point of this each time doing limitation production. As for the number of limitations 30. The alumite becomes sale only of the blue.

Sorry to jack the thread... I have two of these bought from someone here at RCTECH a few years back (one blue, one purple). If there's interest, I'll be selling off the blue version as I only need one in the collection. Condition of the car is used in very good condition, but no box/manual; it looks like the original owner ran the cars on carpet so scratches on the bottom chassis is very minimal. I didn't get the manual so can't confirm if some of the parts were upgraded or already replaced. PM me if interested...

As already mentioned, this is a rare car; hence, I didn't really plan on running them when I first got both.

Yes it's very popular in Japan, heard it's been winning quite a bit in drift races. It's popularity has lead Alex Racing to reissue the car again...Can you post pics of your car?
