PW is correct, it is about 4 miles from the track, a quick on and off on US45.

So this is my first big race. What can I expect for 5 days? How is practice run? Is there a lot of down time?

Wednesday is usually open practice. Thursday is usually by time, each class gets an hour to themselves.

Before racing on Friday and Saturday there is an hour or so of open practice. If the lines get too long then there is a time limit for each group of drivers.

A round is generally around 4 hours long... so there is a lot of time to kill between runs
