I'm sure there's a lot of great ideas on how to use practice/hot laps/past performance....but they need to stick to the rule book. No more changing rules on the fly, at the last minute, like in previous years.

Having a "hot lap" or practice heat for seeding is essentally just a 5th qualifier. What if you don't like THAT heat you're in? Are they going to tech cars for practice too? Someone can slip in a 23 turn arm into their stock 'practice' heat, right?

Just seed them randomly....and I was only half kidding when I mentioned "Alphabetically" earlier. Seed everyone alphabetically, or as best you can due to frequency conflicts, and be done with it.

If you read further down the page you posted the link to it states how they "should" be done. But Doug has no idea which order they were received in...Only the Roar Admin does and I am sure he doesnt have a clue and didnt keep up with it!!

Yes, I saw the 'recommended' method...and that one is fine provided all the factory teams don't send all their entries in at the same time. There's going to be flaws in nearly any method.

Since the rule book was in PDF, I really didn't want to type in the whole thing...that's why I posted the link.

i agree with following the rules.

unfortunately, this particular rule is going to take out alot of drivers. it would work well if only the best racers were competing for this much coveted title.

however, johnny zigzag and his buddies will be there with their 60mm jacos just to ruin the day! hahaha.
