I have to say somthing about this!
It doesn't seem fair to just seed the top 10! That is a big advantage. If you were at snowbirds you know what I am talking about.
If you are going to seed them you need to do the whole thing.

No Qual Points either this year, ROCKET ROUND.
Is this the way all the nationals are? e.g. the paved onroad nats in July, I'm talking about the seeding of the qualifiers, not the Rocket Round, I know it's still qual points for the paved onroad nats.

Good point Walter!

Doug, is there a ROAR rule saying that this should be done?

Great so heats are stacked.. So drivers whom didnt attend last year and are top drivers get bad heats . I think..I better behave.. What about a heads up from start this is a Nats. Fair to all...

i think bradley and goetz are the only two on that list that are coming. and those guys are both a$$h***s.

goetz sent his entry in on monday of this week, standard usps to california, which supports my previous statement.

In the rule book it used to say random for the nats. Now it says nothing. I don't think it is fair to anyone but the top 10 drivers. Then if we have 30 drivers the guys who did not go last year will really get screwed

Cool

Sort the heats alphabetically by height.

man, wouldn't this be a whole lot easier if the damn "regionals" could actually be used as a step to the nationals?

i was hoping we could make it all the way to the nats w/o reading five pages of crap about one topic, but something tells me that we've met our match here with the decision to seed.

Maybe go by practice times. I know Dougs program can do that.

that's a good idea. maybe use the controlled heat practice round to seed? or at least go by hot lap(s) (in case you break).

Exclamation

Here ya go....right out of the RMT Nationals Guidelines, Page 11:

http://www.roarracing.org/downloads/RMTNatsGuide.pdf

* Random seeding must be used to place the drivers in their heats for all National Races. The method used to ensure randomness is at the discretion of the RMT Scorekeeper.

NOTHING about bringing the top 10 over from the previous year.

I saw a lot of people at both the carpet and paved nationals that had their tranponders unplugged during practice rounds

Never mind ...you meant during controlled practice (the ones run as heats).
