I like to give Props to Dave Irrgang of IRS. I had the Pleasure to test out one of his new shocks, Its Called IRS VCS Micro Shock Kit.These shocks are Manufactured out of the highest quality materials available.

These shocks features IRS's own designed foam cup and 1 piece piston. The pistons are nickel/teflon coated for long wear and smooth operation. The Aluminum parts are all machined out of 7075 grade aluminum.

This shock is very easy to build and one of the easiest shocks to change oil in as well.

This shock is very smooth and made my car very consistant and did not leak at all.And one of the many great features of this shock you dont have to worry about debris getting into the shock and contaminating the oil. Here are the part numbers for the shock kits:

IRS4040 IRS VCS Micro Shock Kit - Silver
IRS4041 IRS VCS Micro Shock Kit - Blue
IRS4042 IRS VCS Micro Shock Kit - Black
IRS4043 IRS VCS Micro Shock Kit - Red
IRS4044 IRS VCS Micro Shock Kit - Nickel/Teflon

My recomendation is part number IRS4044 Nikel/teflon by far the smoothest

I just got my shock today from the Diff Dude and it comes nicely packaged with instructions, 2 days from the order to my door, what more can you ask for?

Gonna build it up tonight and put it on the car for Saturday...

Is it any different than the CRC Durashock? It looks pretty much identical.

GrandeGixxer,
Our shock looks like other micro shocks but that is where it ends. We worked long and hard to make our micro shock the best. First we started with materials that are not used by other companies such as 7075 T6 aluminum. We manufactured a 1 piece piston out of 303 stainless steel. The pistons in all of our shocks are nickle/teflon coated. We designed and manufacture our own cup to hold the foam compensater. The tolerances are kept to the smallest limits for consistency. The nickle/teflon coating was chosen for duability and ease of piston motion. We also include an o-ring for the cap that others do not. The nickle/teflon coated shock assembly is the one I highly recommend.
I hope this answers you question but if it does not please contact me with any other questions.

Dave Irrgang

How about a titanium end so that I stop breaking them when my battery pack comes loose.....
