How long are the flanged axle bearings supposed to last. It seems i'm getting one day out of them before the bearings become rough. I bought a small ultrasonic cleaner hoping to bring them back to life (clean, lube, etc) but I can't get rid of that rough, scratchy feel.
Any ideas? Are the teflon sealed ceramic bearings the way to go?

arron in mod try using the regular diff rings not the light weight ones .. as for bearing and diffs i ran the same diff all last year vegas, birds , cleveland january jam ,ect and i use cermic diff balls light weight rings and cremic bearings .. the biggest thing i found is diff lube i still have not found anything that works better then associated red lable stuff

Thanks Mark, yeah I agree, the standard D ring seems to hold up better in Modified than the lightweight version. I will order some ceramic balls, I am also going to go to Kimbrough gears, they have more balls than PRS, and I think that will help as well. I also ordered some of these diff covers to see if that helps.

of course this is a arguable subject, but in 20 years of racing 12th scale, I have never had a diff build up as smooth as when using Kimbrough spurs...
